Human epididymis protein 4, HE4 (Fc tag)

Ovarian cancer is malignant tumor, which iscommonly occurred in ovarian tissue. Its incidence is the third of the threemajor gynecological malignant tumors. For its early symptom is not obvious andnot easy to find, the 5-year survival rate of patients decreases from 70-90% to20% as the time goes on, so early diagnosis is important for the cure rate ofovarian cancer. HE4 are surface antigen of women ovarian tumor cell. AlthoughCA125 is widely used in the clinical diagnosis of ovarian cancer, studies haveshown that HE4 has more advantages in the early diagnosis of ovarian cancerthan CA125, especially for patients at the start of ovarian cancer. HE4 is thebest tumor markers currently in ovarian cancer diagnosis.

HE4 is found in epididymis epithelium.HE4 is the product of selective cutting of WFDC2 gene and has a highlyconservative WAP (Whey Acidic Proteins) domain structure, which has fourdisulfide bond core region that formed by eight cysteine.

The HE4(Fc tag) providedby our company is a recombinant protein expressed by mammalian cells, with highpurity, good immunogenicity and high biological activity. It is a fusion protein with human Fc fragment. It was verified to be an ideal biologicalraw material for IVD.
