Details

ErbB1(EGFR)

Asa member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family, EGFR protein istype I transmembrane glycoprotein that binds a subset of EGF family ligandsincluding EGF, amphiregulin, TGF-α, betacellulin, etc. EGFR protein plays acrucial role in signaling pathway in the regulation of cell proliferation, survival and differentiation. Binding of a ligand induces EGFR protein homo- orheterodimerization, the subsequent tyrosine autophosphorylation and initiatesvarious down stream pathways (MAPK, PI3K/PKB and STAT). In addition, EGFRsignaling also has been shown to exert action on carcinogenesis and diseaseprogression, and thus EGFR protein is proposed as a target for cancer therapycurrently.

The EGFRprovided by our company is a recombinant protein expressed by mammaliancells, with high purity, good immunogenicity and high biological activity. It was verified tobind therapeutic antibodie”Erbitux” with high affinity.
